Serge Aubin is one of the most popular and richest Ice Hockey Player who was born on February 15, 1975 in Val-d'Or, Quebec, Canada. Serge D. Aubin (born on 15th February 1975) is an Canadian hockey coach. He is an ex-professional hockey player who played in 374 games of the National Hockey League for the Colorado Avalanche, Columbus Blue Jackets and Atlanta Thrashers. Aubin is currently the head coach for Eisbaren Berlin, a team of Germany’s DEL. German DEL.

After a quarterfinal loss during the 2010-11 season Aubin was released from Fribourg as an unrestricted free agent. He signed a contract for two years with Deutsche Eishockey Liga club, the Hamburg Freezers, on March 28th the 28th of March, 2011. With 46 matches, Aubin produced a respectable 31 points. Due to his experience as a veteran and leadership skills a benefit on behalf of players of the Freezers, Aubin returned to participate in the following preseason European Tournament, however after having suffered a serious thumb injury, Aubin could not participate for the Freezers during the 2012-13 season. Aubin declared his resignation on January 15th, 2013.

On June 7, 2016, Aubin was named head coach of the Vienna Capitals of the Austrian Hockey League. He guided the team to the championship in his first year as coach. On December 29, 2017, the ZSC Lions of the National League announced that Aubin would take over the head coaching job at ZSC starting with the 2018–19 season. He was sacked on January 14, 2019 because under his guidance, the team did not develop as the club leaders had hoped for. In May 2019, he signed a two-year deal as head coach of German DEL team Eisbären Berlin.

The 2004-2005 NHL lockout that caused the suspension of 2004-05’s NHL season. Aubin took part during the lockout in Switzerland as a Geneve-Servette HC. Aubin was back with the Thrashers during the 2005-06 hockey season, which was his final as a player in the NHL. Aubin was back in Geneva during the season 2006-07. After the season was over with HC Geneve-Servette, he was employed from EHC Biel to play in the Nationalliga B playoff finals and in an eventual promotion series. Aubin was appointed Captain of the Canadian team at 2007. Spengler Cup, he signed the following day, 7 April 2009 with HC Fribourg-Gotteron.
