Ruth Sager (born February 7, 1918) was an American scientist who made significant contributions to the field of human genetics. She was born in New York City to Jewish parents and was raised in Brooklyn.
Sager studied at Hunter College and then earned her Ph.D. in genetics from Columbia University in 1944. She then joined the faculty of the Department of Genetics at the University of Chicago.
