Patrick Donohue (born April 28 1953) is an American fingerstyle guitar player from St. Paul, Minnesota. Donohue is a Grammy nominated National Fingerpicking Guitar Champion songwriter. Donohue has a number of albums under his belt, as well as songs that have been performed with Chet Atkins Suzy Bogguss as well as Kenny Rogers. He has appeared in A Prairie Home Companion for several years.
In 1982, he finished second at the National Fingerpicking Championship at the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kansas. In the following year, he took the title.
In 1985, his first album, Manhattan to Memphis, was released by Red House. After another album with Red House, he started his own label Bluesky Records.
