Kazbek Tambi is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on December 8, 1961 in Paterson, New Jersey, United States. Tambi was born in Paterson, New Jersey and was a student at Ridgewood High School in Ridgewood, New Jersey, graduating in 1979. He is Karachay and his family was originally from the North Caucasus region of Karachayevo-Cherkessia, which they fled as refugees during World War II to Turkey before settling in Paterson. It was his fourth year as a player for the school’s soccer team and was awarded All State his senior year. After finishing high school, the student went to Columbia University from 1979 to 1983, where he was a member of the soccer team for men. He was captain of the team and was a part of the team that reached the 1983 Final Four. His graduation from Columbia with an economics bachelor’s degree in 1983.

Tambi also has coached on a professional scale, and spent the span of three years (2002-2005) with the disbanded New Jersey Stallions women’s team which played within the W-League. In June 2005 Tambi was hired by the U.S. Soccer Federation appointed Tambi as coach of the U.S. U-16 girls’ national team.

In 1998, Seton Hall University hired Tambi as an assistant coach to the men’s soccer team. Tambi would remain in that position through the 2006 season. On January 25, 2007, Seton Hall announced Tambi would become the head coach of the women’s soccer team. Tambi completed his law degree from Seton Hall in 1990. He practices law in addition to his coaching duties.

The year 1983 was the time Tambi played the role of captain for the U.S. team at the 1983 Pan American games. In 1984 Tambi was part of the U.S. team at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. He was initially selected as an alternate for the team however, he was able to earn an official spot on the team following the time Dan Canter was injured just before the start of the competition.

The New York Cosmos of the North American Soccer League drafted Tambi and he joined the team on October 15 1984. Then, at the end of the year, the team dissolved and the Cosmos relocated towards the Major Indoor Soccer League. They were not able to finish the 1984-85 MISL season prior to folding. On September 17th 1985 Tambi was signed by the Minnesota Strikers of MISL. On September 5 1986 the Strikers let go Tambi. Then, he joined the New York Express in November. The Express released Tambi on January 3rd of 1987. Tambi started his law degree in the year 1987 however, he returned to the sport in spring of 1988, when Tambi joined the New Jersey Eagles of the American Soccer League.
