Justin Pogge (/’ Pogge, pronounced p oU g I born on April 22 on the 22nd of April, 1986) is a Canadian professional goalie for ice hockey in the Rogle BK in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL).

The next season, on December 21 in the following season, on December 21, Pogge received a second call up from the Marlies and made his debut NHL debut with the Atlanta Thrashers the next night winning the 6-2 win. The following day, on January 27th Pogge was beaten for the first time in the NHL against Minnesota Wild. Minnesota Wild 6-1.

On August 10, 2009, Pogge was traded to the Anaheim Ducks for a conditional 2011 draft pick. On March 3, 2010, he was again traded to the Carolina Hurricanes as part of a deal that sent Aaron Ward to the Ducks.

On July 27, 2011, Pogge signed a one-year contract with the Phoenix Coyotes. He played for their AHL affiliate, the Portland Pirates for the duration of the season.

In his third and last year as a major junior, Pogge was chosen as a member of Canada’s national junior team to participate in the World Junior Championships as the host nation was Vancouver, British Columbia. He was initially refused entry to the junior camp for Canada and wasn’t anticipated to make the team. But, Pogge was named to the final selection camp of the team in December and was given the position of starting. He played a key role in leading Team Canada to a second consecutive gold medal, posting a shutout and 35 saves in the match against Russia in the gold medal game 5-0 victory. Pogge completed the tournament with three shutouts and an 1.00 GAA.
