Football player best known as a running back for the University of Oklahoma Sooners. He was drafted in the second round by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2017 NFL draft. Joseph Tyler Mixon (born July 24, 1996) is an American football running back for the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Oklahoma, and was drafted by the Bengals in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He was AFC’s top rusher in the 2018 season with 1,168 yards of rushing and 4.9 yards per carry..

In Week 3 against the Buffalo Bills, Mixon rushed 15 times for 61 yards and caught two passes for 34 yards and a touchdown as the Bengals lost 21–17. Mixon started the 2016 season with 40 rushing yards, one rushing touchdown, and 77 receiving yards in a loss to Houston. In the next game against Louisiana–Monroe, he had 117 rushing yards. On October 1, against TCU, he had 105 rushing yards, one rushing touchdown, five receptions, and 70 receiving yards. He was viewed as a first-round talent by some scouts, but several teams removed him from their draft board entirely due to character concerns after a prior assault on Amelia Molitor, a female student at Oklahoma.
