Football wide receiver who gained renown for his career as a member of the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He amassed more than 900 yards receiving during his first season with the team in 2013, and over 1,000 during his 2nd in 2014. Duron Christopher Carter (born March 22, 1991) is an American professional Canadian football wide receiver who is currently a free agent, having most recently played for the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Carter was initially a member of the Montreal Alouettes to start his career prior to signing with Saskatchewan on January 25, 2017 as a free agent. He played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2017 and 2018, having been released in August, playing with the Toronto Argonauts briefly in 2018, signing weeks after being released by the Roughriders before ultimately finding his way to Vancouver to play with the Lions in 2019. He was released by the BC Lions team subsequent to a disappointing 5-13 season under which there were high expectations to succeed in the CFL..

Carter attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he played football, basketball, and ran track. Playing as a wide receiver for Coach George Smith, he led the St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders to back-to-back Florida state 5A titles in 2007 and 2008. The Raiders 15-0 record earned them No. 1 ranking in America among prep teams. He recorded 39 receptions for 739 yards and 14 touchdowns as a senior, and was selected to play in the Under Armour All-America Game. Carter earned first-team All-Broward honors and was an Orlando Sentinel All-Southern. While at St. Thomas, Carter was teammates with Phillip Dorsett, who would become his Indianapolis Colts teammate in 2015.

After transferring to Alabama in April 2011 from the JUCO ranks, eligibility issues again involving academics kept him from practicing with the Tide until late August.
