Her birthplace is Bangkok. It is her first time as a golfer, whether male or female who hails from Thailand to take home a major championship. She was ranked the top golfer in the Women’s World Golf Rankings in June 2017.
Jutanugarn has a ferocious and fearless style of playing. In 2013, at the Honda LPGA Thailand, she had a lead of two shots going to the last hole, but was beaten by just one stroke in Korean’s Inbee Park. She was 4th just a weeks later, at the HSBC Women’s Championships in Singapore. In the following weeks, she was the winner of her first professional event at the Let’s Lalla Meryem Cup in Morocco. This victory put her at the high on the LET Order of Merit (money list). She was the top player for in the opening two days of the Kingsmill Championship in Williamsburg, Virginia in May of 2013. She scored 7-under on the opening day.

In addition to her two Tour wins, Jutanugarn racked up three runner-up finishes, a third place showing, and a total of 10 top-10 appearances which saw her win $1,549,858 and bringing her career total to $4,583,332. This was the second consecutive season where she earned more than $1,500,000.
At a practice course at 2013’s Wegmans LPGA Championship, Jutanugarn injured her shoulder when she fell down an ascent while running after her sister Moriya using the aid of a water bottle. The injury required surgery to correct it that was carried out in Bangkok.
